5.4. Strategies
5.4.1. Offensively Focused
An offensively focused defender will make sure to select an array of solid attacks and slot them thoroughly with damage enhancements. There will always be something lacking when comparing to blasters due to the reduced damage that defenders will always see. OnLa Tale Ely the other hand, the secondary effects of defenders’ ranged attacks are more powerful than their blaster counterpart. Endurance drains from electrical attacks are thus more effective when employed by a defender.
The other point that is important for defenders who like to get into a lot of combat is the powersets themselves. The Radiation and Sonic powersets will cripple foes moreso than other defender sets that may have more team-based powers.

5.4.2. Support Focused
As the opposite of the offensive defenders, the true support defenders will make sure to slot up all the important buffs. It will be importantKnight Power Leveling to add recharge reducers where necessary to make sure your best powers are frequently available. It is also important that you look to power poolsKnight Online Power Leveling to get the extra tools that will make you more valuable in groups. Having Teleport, Recall Friend, and Team Teleport can really help speed things along when leading groups through missions and task forces. I would recommend looking towards Empathy or Force Field, as these are the sets that are always loved by groups.
